About

Global environmental studies require multi- and interdisciplinary approaches at an international scale, particularly in research and education among countries in Asia and beyond. This symposium provides an opportunity to discuss the improvement of sustainable food systems and livelihoods, especially in the context of international cooperation between Kyoto University and its partner institutions.

This symposium is co-hosted by the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES), Kyoto University, and IPB University.

Call for Research Posters

This symposium is open for general submissions of research posters. There is no registration fee. The top 10% of posters will receive the Best Poster Award. Submissions on a wide range of research topics are welcome, regardless of the symposium theme.

IPB University, Bogor, Indonesia

Fly into Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta, then take a taxi or ride-hailing app (Grab/Gojek) to IPB University, Dramaga Campus; the journey takes 1.5–3 hours depending on traffic and costs around USD 15–25; avoid peak hours (7–10 AM, 4–7 PM) if possible.
